Leland Stanford Middle School PTA

Established May 24, 1954

We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization made up of parent and community volunteers, working for the benefit of all students at Stanford Middle School (and other children in the community when possible).  Although we do some fundraising, this is not our main purpose.  SMSPTA focuses on providing programs and activities for our students, support to our school staff, communicating with parents, and offering parent education for SMS families. We are also part of the larger PTA network including California State PTA and National PTA.

SMSPTA is a membership organization, and all are invited to join for an annual fee of $10.  We encourage every family to join PTA - our organization works hard to benefit all students at SMS, so we hope to get the support of all families.  Even if you cannot volunteer, your membership goes a long way in supporting us and the benefits we can offer SMS students.  Membership forms can be found on our "Downloads" page.

All PTA budget and program decisions are made by our voting members during our association meetings held each month of the school year, on the third Tuesday, at 6:30pm in the SMS library.  Please visit our Calendar page for a complete schedule of events.  

Mission Statement of the California State PTA
