We offer funding and support for this program, geared toward recycling and other means of making our campus earth-friendly.

Special Projects

PTA supports, funds, or provides volunteers for several special projects at Stanford.  Most recently, we have provided funds for the Teacher Classroom Grants, Library, Student Council, Robotics Club, and Jazz Band.

TCB Days

PTA volunteers help with the "Taking Care of Business" Days before the school year starts.  They assist in guiding parents, issuing textbooks, selling uniforms, and school pictures/ID cards.

Teacher Appreciation/Teacher Breakfast and Luncheon

We do not take for granted the role that our teachers and staff play in the lives of our children, so PTA coordinates and funds a welcome back breakfast and luncheon in September. Then, in the spring we host a week of treats and a luncheon as a way of saying "thank you."

Teacher of the Year

As part of a program set forth by Long Beach Council PTA, we host a contest for Stanford's Teacher of the Year. Students nominate their favorite teachers by writing an essay which meets specified criteria. The "winner" is also forwarded to the Long Beach Council PTA level, where the they have a second opportunity to be chosen as the LBC PTA Teacher of the Year.

WEB Program

PTA funded the initial training and costs to implement this wonderful, "Where Everyone Belongs," anti-bullying program which utilizes student peers to model good behavior and monitors behavior.
